Make Winter Spa Soaks More Pleasant, Best Hot Tub Prices Reno

Friday, October 11th, 2019

The winter is the perfect time to enjoy a warm, bubbly hot tub experience. But, while the temperature may be warm in the water, the cold still remains outside.

Here are three ways to make winter hot tub soaks more pleasant.

Buy a Towel Warmer for Your Hot Tub
Soaking in your hot tub is great for warming up on a cold winter day. But keeping that warmth as you exit your hot tub can be tricky. A towel warmer can help. Simply turn on the warmer and place your towels on it to warm. When you are done with your soak, they are ready to use for an ultra-comfort drying off experience.

Buy an Exit Rug and Slippers
Coming out of warm water can be a shock if your feet hit a freezing cold floor. Buy a soft floor mat and slippers, then, before you enter your hot tub, place the rug on your towel warmer with your towels. When exiting, pull your rug off your towel warmer and place it on the ground. You will exit the tub to a warm, feet-drying experience and slip on some soft slippers before heading back indoors.

Make Sure You Invest in a Quality Cover
The easiest way to enjoy a warm hot tub experience during the winter is to keep the heat in the water. A good hot tub cover makes a huge difference. Make sure it has a snug fit to keep heat from escaping. Ask your hot tub dealer about which hot tub cover will be best for your spa.

So Go Ahead, Take a Soak, You Deserve It!
It’s fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company and Hot Spring Spas of San Jose are providing free test soaks at all their showrooms. We do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute soak call us ahead of time to reserve their spot.

Spa Shopping? Make Sure You Get the Features You Want, Hot Tubs Aptos CA

Friday, October 11th, 2019

Once you start shopping for your new hot tub, you’ll see that modern spas are sleek and beautiful. Gone are the old-fashioned boxes, and in their place are beautiful cabinets options and interiors in lots of different colors.

Here are 3 ways to make sure you get the features you want and need in a new hot tub.

Check Them Out Online
Check out your favorite hot tub models online. That will save you time shopping in the stores, and also give you an idea of what comes standard with your hot tub and what options are available. It’s also a good idea to see what your local stores have, so you can begin to narrow your search.

Go Visit Your Local Dealer
Researching online for models and features is great, but hot tubs are best considered in person, so get to your local dealership and see what they have in stock. The best hot tub dealers will have hot tubs set up on the premises, so bring a suit and towel, and take a test soak.

Decide What You Really Need and What You Want
There are some things you should insist on when buying a hot tub: a good warranty, a company that provides reliable service and units that are well insulated and cost-efficient to run. Then there are the wants, you should know what is available and decide what you want. Hot tub options include things like built-in stereo systems, televisions and lighting, just to name a few.

So Go Ahead, Take a Soak, You Deserve It!
It’s fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company and Hot Spring Spas of Santa Cruz and San Jose are providing free test soaks at all their showrooms. We do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute soak call us ahead of time to reserve their spot.

3 Ways to Enjoy Fall in Your Backyard Spa – Hot Tubs Sunnyvale, San Jose

Saturday, September 28th, 2019

Fall means changing leaves, football, big harvests, cooler days and nights, and cozy celebratory experiences like Thanksgiving and Halloween. Make the most of the season by creating great memories to last a lifetime.

Here are three ways to enjoy fall in your hot tub.

Keep the Family Warm
As the evenings cool, it’s time to bring out the hot chocolate, light the bonfires, and sink into bubbly warmness. Adjust your hot tub temperature and bring the kiddos in to enjoy a custom, warm, jet stream massage together. Talk about school, football, and make holiday plans. And, when the evening comes tomorrow, do it all over again.

Entertain Guests
When the blustery weather and holiday festivities approach, it’s time to come together with family and friends. A hot tub offers a perfect cool-weather centerpiece for entertaining. Invite guests to the hot tub and watch the game on an LCD hot tub screen. Or, set the mood with low-playing music with surround sound and play water games guests of all ages will love.

Prepare for Early Sleep
Shorter days and school season means early nights and long sleeps. Your hot tub can help the whole family sleep better. Warm water massage releases calming endorphins to unwind from busy days. And, after a warm soak, exiting a hot tub mimics our natural temperature drop as we fall asleep.

Relieve Joint Pain in a Sunnyvale Swim Spa, San Jose Lap Pools Dealer

Saturday, September 28th, 2019

As we age, it’s not uncommon to experience pain and discomfort in the joints. Weak, damaged joints from arthritis or overuse often lead to limited mobility. What if there was any easy way to improve joint health—a safe, alternative to medication? Luckily, there is.

Here are three ways to restore joint health using a swim spa at home.

Increase Joint Flexibility and Range of Motion
As joints become inflexible and stiff, movement of any kind can be painful. Stretching helps, but it isn’t always pain free. Stretching in water is an easy and effective; water is buoyant, meaning it supports your body weight, cushioning joints for easy movement. A few minutes of aquatic stretching every day can elevate joint fitness, gradually increasing range of motion and joint flexibility.

Ease Painful Joints with Hydromassage
Nothing feels better on sore, achy joints than massage. With a swim spa, it’s easy to reap the benefits of hydromassage right from home! The best swim spas have two distinct uses: continuous lap swimming on one side, and hydrotherapy with warm water massage on the other.

Strengthen Weak Joints
With a swim spa at home, it’s easy to create an aquatic exercise routine that’s safe and fun. Adding resistance bands, paddles or a row bar is a simple way to build joint strength gradually. Place a treadmill in your swim spa for underwater cardio, and easy joint conditioning. With time, and as joints become stronger, adding lap swimming to an exercise routine can help promote a healthy heart too!

So Go Ahead, Take a Swim, You Deserve It!
It’s, fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a swim spa to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company is providing free swim spa test soaks at all their showrooms. Natural Pain Relief in the Sauna, Infrared Sauna Store Reno

Saturday, September 28th, 2019

Whether you’re suffering with chronic back pain, arthritis or just an old sports injury, aches and pains can ruin your day. While most of us turn to medication to relieve discomfort, there is an alternative. Heat bathing in the sauna is a natural and completely safe way to find relief.

Here are three ways to get long lasting, natural pain relief in a sauna at home.

Reduce the Inflammation, Relieve the Pain
Inflammation is the body’s response to toxins—a natural way of healing from injury. Luckily, reducing inflammation can also reduce pain, in a natural safe way. The sauna’s elevated heat helps soothe stiff joints and relax tight muscles. Heat also increases blood circulation and reduces inflammation, alleviating pain and discomfort.

Infrared Heat for Faster, Longer Lasting Relief
Step into a sauna at home and high infrared heat targets the entire body at once, relieving pain and discomfort quickly and efficiently. Unlike a heating pad that can only target small areas of the body at one time, a sauna delivers sustained, consistent heat from head to toe for faster, longer lasting relief.

Reduce Muscle Spasms and Promote Healing
Bathing in infrared sauna heat is an effective way to reduce muscle spasms that create intense pain, but with prolonged use, the sauna can even help the body heal itself. Heat increases blood flow to the muscles, which delivers more concentrated oxygen through increased blood flow to damaged areas for faster healing.

So Go Ahead, Soak in a Sauna, You Deserve It!
It’s fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a sauna to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company is providing free tests at all their showrooms. We do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute test call us ahead of time to reserve their spot.

3 Quick Ways to Relieve Pain – Hot Tubs, Swim Spas Sunnyvale

Saturday, September 28th, 2019

The Spa and Sauna Company, a five-store hot tub and swim spa dealer with showrooms in San Jose and Santa Cruz publishes 3 Quick Ways to Relieve Pain.

“People who have pain that lasts for longer than 6 months likely have a form of chronic pain, and during September, they can find new ways to deal with it,” said Scott Clark, president of The Spa and Sauna Company. Pain awareness month is a great time to help people identify the type of pain they have and find ways to treat it and live with it more effectively.

Here are three quick ways to relieve pain and make life easier.

Swim Away Pain with a Swim Spa – While physical activity can be daunting when dealing with severe pain, it is a great way to engage the muscles and joints and get them moving more freely. Exercise encourages more blood flow to injured areas, and increases the hormone oxytocin in the brain, so people feel better emotionally as well.

Swimming is one of the best types of exercise for people who deal with all of the various types of pain, and a swim spa makes it easier to get in that exercise regularly. Swim spas can be set up in even a small yard, or on a patio near the home, so it’s easy to swim at any time of the day.

The strong, swim current keeps people in place as they move through the strokes, and even do aqua aerobic exercises. Swim spas can also be fitted with underwater treadmills, allowing for the muscle and aerobic exercise of walking without the strain from impact on pavement.

A hot tub section at one end of the swim spa adds extra hydrotherapy benefits for sore, tired muscles, pain and stress relief.

Breathing Exercises that Help with Pain – Focusing on breathing can take the mind off of pain and help people who deal with chronic pain. While engaging in slow, focused breathing, people can also increase the benefits for pain relief by using imagery and positive self-talk to re-direct the mind and change the way they experience pain.

Self-talk involves turning the way people think about their pain from constantly feeling anxiety and telling themselves how horrible the pain is, to soothing comments such as, the pain will subside, and what can be done to help.

The Power of Pets and Pain Relief – Pets can help people deal with many things in life including pain. Not only can simply petting a beloved dog or cat help soothe nerves, having a pet can give people the incentive to get up and move, in order to care for their pet, feed them, or walk the dog. Having a pet is also distracting, so people can take their mind off of themselves and the pain. Dogs and cats aren’t the only animals that are therapeutic. Even fish can help people with pain reduce the stress and anxiety associated with their illness, or deal with the depression and feeling of isolation it can cause.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub, swim spa or sauna to help improve their overall health and well-being, Hot Spring Spas of San Jose and Santa Cruz is providing free hot tub and swim spa test soaks. They do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute soak call them ahead of time to reserve their spot.

Wednesday, September 25th, 2019

By Laura Varnon, Marketing Coordinator

We sell replacement hot tub covers at all of our locations in Reno, Sparks, San Jose and Santa Cruz. If you are looking for a replacement cover, click here and select where your cover will be delivered to, fill out the form and one of our team members will be in touch to help you get a replacement hot tub cover.

Vinyl

Check your vinyl for signs of: Dryness, Brittleness, Dirt, Tears, Cracks.

Any and all of these symptoms might mean that it is time for a new cover. Changes in these conditions will affect the look, safety and heat retention abilities of your cover.

Hinges and Hinge Gaskets (or Shoes)

Heat can escape from a torn hinge, which might result in heat loss from your hot tub. A new cover keeps your hot tub hot and ready to use at any time.

If your hinge gasket, or shoes, are torn, damaged or missing, heat will leave your hot tub rapidly. Be sure to get that repaired or replaced, especially if you want to get into a nice, hot, hot tub during the long Reno/Tahoe winter months.

Straps and Locks

If your hot tub cover straps and locks are torn, broken, rusted or even missing, that is something you should take care of right away. Not only is it unsightly, but it can be a safety concern, especially around children and pets.

Foam Cores

This is the most important part of your hot tub cover. Over time the foam core can sag, which will create a gap in your heat seal, leaving your hot tub less hot).

Here are a few things to look out for related to your foam core, and indicating that you need a new hot tub cover:

You see puddles on top of your hot tub cover.

You notice that your hot tub cover has become much heavier over time.

There might even be an odor, if your cover has absorbed water.

How to Keep Your Hot Tub Cover (and your Hot Tub) Healthy

Treat your hot tub cover to a regular dose of 303 Cover Protectant. This will keep the Vinyl healthy. You can do this about once a month, when you change your filter. Caring for your hot tub cover properly can extend its lifespan.

Be sure to get a new hot tub cover every 3 to 5 years, or if your hot tub cover has been damaged. Caring for all of the parts of your hot tub, including the hot tub cover, will create a more enjoyable hot tub experience.

Add More Luxury to Your Spa, Hot Tubs Capitola

Monday, August 26th, 2019

Want to be sure you are getting the best experience from your hot tub? All you need to do to enjoy the soothing environment of your hot tub is slip into the water. However, there are some things you can do to make your time in the hot tub even more relaxing and fun.

Here are three ways to add more luxury to your hot tub.

Create a Floating Food and Drink Station in Your Hot Tub
There are several ways you can make food and drink access easier in your hot tub for yourself and your loved ones. There are floating refreshment trays that have cup holders to keep drinks level and out of the water, and hold small plates of food for everyone to enjoy as they soak. You can also choose to add edge trays to your portable spa to keep food and drinks close at hand, so no one has to jump out of the water to get some refreshments.

The best beverage to have on hand for hot tub enjoyment is water. Water will keep you and the people you share the hot tub with hydrated, so you can enjoy soaking longer. Best of all, it doesn’t have sugar in it. Be wary of having sugary drinks around the hot tub. Even when they are on the tray or in the proper holders, spills are possible, and sugar and hot tub filters do not get along well. Of course, an accidental spill won’t destroy your hot tub, but it will make for a little extra maintenance cleaning.

Keep snacks light too, so you and your guests aren’t too full to enjoy your time in the water. Finger sandwiches, small bite-sized treats and snacks are best for keeping around the hot tub to increase the fun and enhance the luxurious atmosphere.

Watch Your Video, Movie or TV Show
Enjoy live TV, stream video and more from inside your spa or while entertaining in your backyard.

With HDMI convenience, you can add a streaming stick or connect to any of your in-home video sources for a range of programming options.

Warm or Cool – It’s Your Choice!
With the CoolZone System, you can heat and cool the water – something that is not possible with most spas. Enjoy a cool dip during the day and warm soak later that night.

The CoolZone system works with your spa’s heater to efficiently raise the temperature in just a few hours.

So Go Ahead, Take a Soak, You Deserve It!
It’s fast, fun and relaxing. Not only that, it’s good for the body, soothes the mind and can improve your overall health and well-being.

To encourage local residents to check out the benefits of using a hot tub to help improve their overall health and well-being, The Spa and Sauna Company is providing free test soaks at all their showrooms. We do recommend, however, that people wanting to schedule their free 30-minute soak call us ahead of time to reserve their spot.
